Climbing arborists who want a quiet, fume-free pruning saw and already run Husqvarna BLi-X batteries.
Arborist
Two 6Ah packs and a fast charger in the box is what separates this from the rest of Husqvarna's pro battery range, and for a climbing saw it is the right way to sell one — a two-pack rotation is the difference between a battery saw that works a full day and one that strands you mid-canopy. The tool is the top-handle version of the clutched 542i XP: 2.4 hp, 79 ft/s chain speed, a centrifugal clutch so a pinched chain does not shock the drivetrain, and 6.39 lb before a pack goes in. Husqvarna positions it as 40cc gas equivalent, which for in-tree work is genuinely enough. It replaces the T540i XP, which no longer has a US product page. At $1,120 it costs more than most gas top-handles including the T525, and the trade is fumes and noise against money and runtime management.
Best for: Professional climbing crews who want a full-day battery top-handle with the runtime rotation already in the box.
