The small end of Husqvarna's consumer battery line, and the one to buy if the 350i's 18-inch bar is more saw than the yard needs. For $380 the kit brings a 14-inch bar, a 4Ah 40-B140 pack and the 40-C80 charger — $100 under the 350i — and the tool itself is only 6.83 lb before the battery goes in. It carries the same two features that make the Power Axe line work: Boost mode for 25% more power on demand, and tool-less chain tensioning. Narrow .043 chain is the detail to notice. It cuts quickly in small wood because the kerf is thin, but it is also the least common gauge on a hardware store shelf, so buy spare loops when you buy the saw. The 4Ah pack is modest; expect to work in sessions rather than clear a storm-felled tree in one charge. Like the rest of the Power Axe range these 40V packs do not cross over to Husqvarna's dealer-line pro tools.

Best for: Homeowners with a small yard who want a battery saw for pruning and light storm cleanup rather than firewood.

Manufacturer figures except the engine class and single-pass cut, which are derived here. What each spec means

  • $100 under the 350i kit
  • Boost mode, 25% more power
  • 6.83 lb before the battery

Where it is strong

  • Complete kit with battery and charger at $380 — the cheapest way into Husqvarna battery
  • 6.83 lb bare tool with a pass-through battery design that keeps it balanced in the hand
  • Boost mode gives 25% more power for the occasional cut that needs it
  • Tool-less chain tensioning, no scrench to lose
  • 3-year residential warranty, a year longer than Husqvarna's gas homeowner saws

Where it falls short

  • The 4Ah pack is small — this is a session-at-a-time saw, not a storm-cleanup saw
  • .043 gauge chain is the least commonly stocked size; buy spares up front
  • 14-inch bar is the only configuration, with no option to step up
  • 40V Power Axe batteries do not fit Husqvarna's professional BLi-X tools

Written from the spec sheet and the maker's documentation; owner reports for this model were too thin to summarize.
